Development History of Concrete Batch Plant
Time:2018-07-08

It’s not exaggerating to say that concrete lays the pavement for development of modern culture. When studying our civilization, future people would find it hard to avoid concrete since it has left traces on almost all buildings, bridges, roads, tunnels and large projects like water power plants. Despite its tremendous influence, concrete has a short history. It was invented in 1756, a little earlier than the birth of America, and didn’t have prominent development until one and a half centuries later in 1903, when the first concrete batch plant came into being in Germany.

Industrial revolutions freed factory laborers and sped up city construction. Only ten years after Germany, America built its first commercial concrete batch plant, which is followed by Japan, who had its own concrete batch plant in 1949, years after the Second World War. China did not own such a plant until the 1960s. After the reform and opening-up concrete plants entered a period of rapid development in China. Two decades ago the largest concrete batch plant in the world, was built for the Three Gorges Project in southern China, which marked the leading position of China in concrete production.
